Since Thursday I have been struggling with a nasty cold. It's strange, I feel fine (except being very tired) but I have no voice. It's just so frustrating because I have to talk a lot with my job. I've decided to take the afternoon off tomorrow to help rest my voice. I have not been talking much today and it does seem better. I hope that by taking time off I can help my voice. I am preparing lessons for Tuesday as well just in case. I hope I don't have to use it.
I hope this helps. Last year I had this same problem and I suffered through it for a month. I am hoping that by resting it will be cleared up some time this month.
